Clearway Network Management Solutions today announced the release of OCS Expert, the world’s first solution to help assure “always on” for Unified Communications using Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2.
“Organizations deploying Unified Communications are counting on the Microsoft OCS platform to deliver on the promise of dramatically improved communication and collaboration,” said Raheel Retiwalla, Chief Technology Officer of Clearway Network Management Solutions.
“Though CIOs understand the significant value proposition of investing in Microsoft Unified Communications solutions, they face the challenge of justifying the adoption of these technologies. OCS Expert provides revolutionary transparency of service levels on mission-critical applications such as mobile workforce, always-on email, voice, video, and Web conferencing. Employees using these applications are often customer-facing and essential to revenue generation. OCS Expert delivers transparency to assure that Microsoft Unified Communications enable increased productivity, satisfied customers, and revenue,” continued Retiwalla.
OCS Expert also drives lower support costs by providing expert technical knowledge using a built-in rules-based Knowledge Base. With an easy-to-use interactive dashboard including decision trees, enterprise IT help desk and support teams can quickly identify and resolve network and service performance issues. These capabilities reduce the need to hire and build highly specialized engineering support teams, and help lower support costs.
OCS Expert offers a custom-built spoke for Microsoft OCS in the form of exposed web services on top of the OCS 2007 R2 QoE database. This solution is the world’s first to enable real-time synchronization and aggregation of performance metrics from Microsoft OCS—along with rich support staff tools for rapid problem resolution.
“Through our close partnership with Microsoft, Clearway has created an essential solution component for effective management of Unified Communications using Microsoft OCS,” said Kevin Cotter, Clearway Chief Executive Officer.
